Our Men's Health Approach

Comprehensive, Integrative Care for Men

Men’s health conditions, particularly prostate disorders and hormonal decline, are among the most common yet frequently undertreated areas of medicine. Many men receive either overly aggressive interventions or insufficient attention to root causes.

At St. George Hospital, our men’s health program combines advanced diagnostics with targeted, minimally invasive treatment protocols. We address prostate enlargement, prostate cancer, urinary dysfunction, and hormonal imbalances through integrative approaches that prioritize both efficacy and quality of life.

Our program is led by Dr. Julian Douwes and Dr. Daniela Hudi, who bring extensive experience in urological medicine, integrative oncology, and hormone therapy to every patient’s care plan.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common questions about the men's health programme

Which conditions does the men's health programme treat?

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer, urinary disorders such as frequency, urgency, incomplete emptying, nocturia and chronic urinary tract conditions, and hormonal imbalances including testosterone decline, DHEA insufficiency, thyroid imbalance and the metabolic effects of andropause.

How do you assess prostate health?

Beyond PSA: we use multiparametric imaging, immune profiling and functional assessment to build a complete picture of prostate health before recommending any treatment. Each programme includes a comprehensive diagnostic work-up, an individualised treatment plan and coordinated follow-up care.

Which treatments are used?

Targeted, minimally invasive protocols: prostate-specific hyperthermia, photodynamic therapy and insulin-potentiated therapy for prostate conditions, bioidentical hormone therapy for testosterone and hormonal balance, and PRP therapy. Local treatments are combined with systemic support such as hormone optimization, immune modulation and nutritional guidance.

What does the programme cost?

There is no fixed price. After our physicians have reviewed your findings, you receive an individual estimate that lists the diagnostics, the daily inpatient rate and each therapy block. Treatment is self-pay; the itemised invoice can be submitted to a US insurer for out-of-network review. We cannot promise reimbursement.
