Integrative Cancer Treatment

Oncology Therapies

Targeted oncological treatments that complement and enhance standard cancer care, with a focus on reduced side effects, improved quality of life, and synergistic anti-tumour activity.

What it is

Integrative Oncology at St. George Hospital

St. George Hospital has practised integrative oncology since its founding in 1991. Our approach combines targeted anti-tumour therapies with immune support, hyperthermia, and biological medicine to treat cancer patients comprehensively.

The oncology therapies listed here are used alongside or as alternatives to conventional chemotherapy and radiation, depending on the individual clinical situation. All treatment decisions are made by our oncology team in consultation with the patient.

Oncology Treatment Methods

Our Therapies

IPT Chemotherapy

Insulin-potentiated therapy uses insulin to enhance cancer cell uptake of chemotherapy drugs, allowing lower doses with fewer side effects.

ECT / Galvano Therapy

Electrochemical tumour therapy applies low-level direct current to tumour tissue, inducing localised cell death in accessible solid tumours.

Integrative Approach

Combined with Hyperthermia & Immune Support

At St. George Hospital, oncology therapies are rarely used in isolation. They are combined with whole-body and local hyperthermia, immune-stimulating infusions, and detoxification protocols to create synergistic treatment effects.

  • Hyperthermia sensitizes tumour cells to chemotherapy and PDT
  • Immune therapy supports the body's natural anti-tumour defences
  • Detoxification helps manage treatment side effects
  • Nutritional and metabolic support throughout treatment
