Electromagnetic Medicine
Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT)
A high-energy electromagnetic therapy that penetrates deep into musculoskeletal tissues to reduce pain, accelerate healing, and promote tissue regeneration through electromagnetic transduction.
What Is EMTT?
Extracorporeal Magnetotransduction Therapy (EMTT) is a non-invasive treatment that delivers high-energy electromagnetic pulses at oscillation frequencies of approximately 100-300 kHz. Unlike conventional PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field) therapy, EMTT generates significantly higher magnetic flux densities that can penetrate deep into bone and soft tissue.
The electromagnetic energy induces electrical fields within target tissues, stimulating cellular repair mechanisms and modulating pain signaling pathways. EMTT is particularly effective for musculoskeletal conditions and is often combined with other treatments such as shockwave therapy.

How Does It Work?
EMTT generates rapidly oscillating electromagnetic fields that induce transmembrane potential changes in cells within the treatment zone. This triggers several biological responses: activation of growth factor signaling pathways; upregulation of anti-inflammatory cytokines; stimulation of osteoblast and chondrocyte proliferation; and modulation of pain-related nociceptive signaling.
The high penetration depth (up to 18 cm into tissue) makes EMTT effective for deep-seated musculoskeletal conditions that are difficult to reach with surface-level treatments.
Conditions Treated
- Chronic back pain
- Osteoarthritis
- Tendinopathies
- Non-healing fractures
- Bone marrow edema
- Disc degeneration
- Neuropathic pain
Is EMTT Right for You?
EMTT is selected based on the specific musculoskeletal or pain condition. Our specialists will evaluate whether this therapy is appropriate for your situation.
What a session feels like
- Before The applicator is placed over the treatment area. No preparation, no anesthesia.
- During 5–15 minutes per region. You may feel a gentle pulling or tingling; it is not painful.
- Afterwards You carry on with your day. Most people have 4–8 sessions a week apart, often combined with shockwave therapy for musculoskeletal problems.
Evidence & Safety
EMTT is a newer technology with a growing evidence base. Published studies demonstrate efficacy for chronic low back pain, knee osteoarthritis, and bone healing. The technology has received CE marking for musculoskeletal applications. EMTT has a favorable safety profile with no reported serious adverse events. It is contraindicated in patients with cardiac pacemakers, pregnancy over the treatment area, and active infections in the target region.
